@victoriaskov COLLECTION 5: Duplica, 2021 Royal College of Art, London A bush of withered beige hydraingeas cathes my attension. The construction of individual small flowers, that merges into a larger complete flower, makes me reflect on how we feel complete when we have physical contact with our loved ones. It is a contrast to my contemporary life and the ”new normal” that I’m trying to adapt to. In critical times like these, we are desperately looking for something that feels warmer, comfortable, human and more worthy of our touch. The collection interprets the lost touch and the desire for tactility and comfort through craftmanship, texture and layering to feed our need for the lost touch.
